What are the golden hours in door-to-door sales?
Golden hours: The golden hours are the late afternoon and early evening on weekdays, plus Saturdays, when the most homeowners are home and answer the door. Reps plan their best turf for those hours.
Most households are empty during the workday, so a door knocked at eleven in the morning is less likely to open than the same door at six in the evening. Teams often start around midday and work until the local cutoff.
The cutoff is set by law, not by daylight alone. Many cities limit the hours you may knock, and some end them at sunset or a fixed time. Check the city's rule before you plan an evening.
