What is a sit in solar sales?

Sit: A sit is an appointment that actually takes place: the closer sits down with the homeowner and gives the presentation. Appointments that are set but never happen do not count as sits.

Setters are measured on sits, not on appointments booked, because a booked appointment where nobody answers the door is worth nothing. A "qualified sit" adds conditions, such as all decision-makers present, the homeowner owning the home, and a recent utility bill available.

Many setter pay plans pay a fixed amount per qualified sit plus a bonus if it closes. Confirming the appointment the day before and the hour before is the simplest way to raise the share that sit.

What makes a sit "qualified" here, and is that written in the pay plan?
