What is a one-call close in door-to-door sales?
One-call close: A one-call close is a sale completed in a single visit: the rep meets the customer, presents and signs the agreement in the same conversation, with no follow-up appointment.
Pest control, fiber internet and home security are usually sold this way, at the door or the kitchen table within one visit. Solar, roofing and windows more often take two steps, with a setter's visit first and a closer's appointment later.
Selling in one visit is legal and common, and the law accounts for it: door-to-door customers get a cancellation period after signing. A one-call close should never depend on rushing someone or hiding terms. Deals closed that way come back as cancellations.
